HyperSpin is excellent. Very good stuff, really. But...
There's a few things I'm working on that are buggin; perhaps some assistance would be available. First you should know the setup:
-Latest HyperSpin with all the bells and whistles (All the transitions/themes/artwork/etc turned on and up)
-Win 7 shelled to HyperSpin
-Cabmame64 0.139
-Not using HyperLaunch for MAME
-Currently only using single wheel since I'm focusing on getting everything for MAME 100%
I've heavily edited my mame.xml file to remove the following (pretty much in this order):
-All non-working games
-Mature, Mahjong, Casino, Quiz, and Multi-play games
-Bootlegs and hacks
-If there is a US version, that stays...if not, then World version, then EU version, then Japan (with English text)
-Otherwise, all games from other regions are removed (ie, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, etc)
-Then, since my cab is 2 player, I remove any variants of 3+ player games if a 2 player version exists
-Lastly, I take the parent rom, if it exists in what's left
(If anyone is interested, I can send them the mame.xml that I have...it's quite nice.)
So now that you know what the setup is...what I'm running into is a couple of things:
-Since it's single wheel, if I go into the favorites wheel, to get back, I am forced to go to my genre wheel, then select All Games. This gets fairly annoying.
-When exiting out of MAME, the wheel doesn't come back to the game I was playing. It usually rolls backwards between 1 - 12 games, though that number is never consistent. (I've seen some others complain about something similar.)
Even with that, they're minor annoyances. Just figured that if anyone has a fix/workaround, it'd be nice. Thanks in advance for the help.
