K, I think its about time for an update, and some more testing.

Will be downloadable in a few hours.

This release has a few major additions.
The purpose of the new additions is to help simplify the install process and to update everyones installation to the most current settings. If you downloaded the torrent, or any release up till now this will fix your install.

My goal eventually is to really have a no hassle intallation and super easy setup, to the point all you need to do is grab some themes, emumovies and change your emulator pathes and you'll be good to go. We're almost there!

If your a new comer or want a fresh install, simply run HS in from empty folder and it will create an install for you.

HyperSpin now checks your your version and will update any settings as needed and as I add new features. Again simply run HS and it will update everything for you the first time you run the new version.

Dont worry none of your old settings are affected, everything stays the same, only new settings are added or old invalid settings are corrected.

*****IMPORTANT - Just in case, please make a back up of your settings folder

HyperSpin 0.7.0.1

Fixed where artworks display only if theres and xml entry for that artwork. This prevents showing artwork from 2 installed themes for the same game.
Now only the last installed theme will show its arwork.

Fixed issue with last theme not showing up when using the themes only feature.

Fixed Exit program not writing to the log when quitting HS not via the exit menu.

Fixed Vertical wheel style starting out to fast and not the normal speed.

Fixed bug with default artworks not clearing when coming to a game with theme greater than 2 games away.

Fixed issue with working directories for Startup and Exit programs, should run fine now.

Fixed Startup and Exit program not accepting parameters correctly

Fixed all yes/no settings to true/false, all old themes are still backward compatible.

Fixed pointer not hiding with with wheel when using the wheel alpha option.

Removed pcgameextensions key from ini files since its no longer needed, use romextension.

Added HS now is self installing, no need to download support files except for themes, wheel images and boxart.
the entire installation is created on first run from an empty folder and will create all the necessary folders,
finished databases, settings files, and basic artworks necessary to run HS.

Added version auditor, from now on when you download new releases HS will audit your install on first run and add
new settings as necessary and update missing settings from all files. Basically simply running a new version of HS will
fix your old torrent download with anything thats missing.

Added LED Blinky support.

Added Option to disable exit menu.

Added Option to set custom video path. Video overlay artworks still must be in the video folder.

HyperHQ 0.5.0.1

This is my first release of HyperHQ, its very minimal at the moment, but will give you an idea of where Im going with it.

You can adjust all main settings from it.

You can only adjust the exe section of your emu settings currently.

No list generation yet, Im not there yet, but its all coming.

How does HyperHQ get installed? Does it replace the old version or just get place in the main dir or HS?

How does HyperHQ get installed? Does it replace the old version or just get place in the main dir or HS?No, you can just completely delete the old version. Place the new HyperHQ into the same folder where you have HyperSpin.exe.

Small bug report I just recieved:

I removed pcgameextension so that you should just use romextension, but it doesnt work, it will be fixed in the morning in a new release.

Also pcgame = true was accidentally changed to pcGame = true. This will also be fixed. So no running pcgames till morning unless you manually change these entries after the audit.

Hey Bill - another small bug has crept up. With the new Hyperspin none of my NES videos are displayed. It must have something to do with the default themes not working properly.

The videos are most definitely loading because I can hear the sound from them but they're simply not displayed. They must be off screen or under the background or who knows what. When I switch back to the old .exe - they work fine again. I'm using the default NES theme:

Thanks for these apps They are awsome!

*hyperhq when you point to ledblinky you need to add a \ to the end of the path in settings.ini or else it will not start. Now i am figuring out how to get those 360 working :D
