There's got to be a better way of making theme announcements than just "hoping" someone hasn't already started working on one.
I would suggest that once you have a basic layout, you post it in Theme Annoucements. The forum is definitely not designated for completed themes although its where they are showcased. Its really for work in progress. You can also go to the wiki and add your theme to the WIP section under users. I dont know about other people but I try to check that area first to make sure i am not creating a theme that someone is working on. Besides that, I am not sure what else we could do.

Okay. I started working on it last week, but I'm slow with anything computer related, so I'll focus on the more obscure stuff for now. If there is a game you definitely want to do, just put it in the WIP section of Wiki (under user themes). Then when you have something, doesnt have to be much at all, post it in Theme Announcements. At least then you can claim it in some way although it still might not stop someone from creating one...which isnt bad really...more options the better.
