    Default X-Arcade Dual Tankstick

    Hi All,

What the general consensus on the X-Arcade Dual Tankstick - are they any good and are they worth the money?

Also has anyone ever managed to put their own control panel overlay on one of these things as it kind of looks quite plain with just the standard artwork on it.

    Any views on this?

    Cheers

I LOVE my tankstick! Plus if your dig on their website they encourage you to mod and change it to suit you, so if you dont' care for the buttons, or sticks, or just want to customize it, they give you instructions on how to do that ...one sec I have the panel layout for if you get one and want to make your own vinyl. ..yeah here's a mockup one I made ..you can use that, or I can fish up the actual .ai file if you want

anyways, we torture tested mine with fighting games and shooters when I first got it and my japanese stick loving friends all really dug it even though "it's an american stick" If you're looking for a quick painless setup for arcade buttons I'd highly suggest the tankstick ..plus they give you like 6 mame games!

    I have one.

    Pros: Built well, work's great.
Cons: Ugly as all hell, no trackball or spinner.

IMO, get the TankStick if you either can't build your own CP, or don't have the patience. Due to my project ADD, I've been working on my 4 player CP for two years, and the Tank Stick has basically been a placeholder until its done. if you can build your own CP (AND YOU CAN!!!!), then go that route eventually.
