How did you do the awesome HyperSpin intro video?

I'm a video production nut, and I'm always pondering these kinds of things. I'd know how to fake most of the particle effects in AE, but I'm most curious about the grid HS lettering that the camera flies by in the beginning. Did you use some kind of 3D tool to create that?

After Effects can do 3d and moveable cameras. I tried playing around with it, it's crazy.
