These will definitely work right? It looks like no two builds are using the same Siemens contactor part numbers.

So I would need one of those for each flipper and what other parts require one.

I am no pro but the pinball electrical 101 manual helps alot and also look at various peoples builds for better examples. I plan on using 5 contactors(not final yet) 2 for flippers, 3 for bumpers/slings. Dont know if that will work tho so I might need 7.

Another cool example of force feedback

From asking around I believe they should be fine. The main concern when searching for contactors is the 24V coil. I am far from that part of my build tho so I cannot really test.

I purchased some siemens contactors recently and unfortunately they did not work out . In addition to what you have said above, I noticed Chriz said in another thread "siemens contactors can be directly connected to a ledwiz, because the mA is under 350ma."

I'm not doubting Chriz as he obviously knows what he's talking about, but I'd just like to make sure as specs can change from contactor model to model. I'll do some more digging and see what I can come up with. If someone can already confirm this, I'd definately appreciate it.

    Cheers

The standard draw from contactor coils is well below the 500ma rating of the ledwiz. It's usually well below 200ma. You'll be safe.

Just remember to use a diode to block the feedback voltage and current produced by inductors (coils).

If you want to pick them up today, you can go to your local radioshack. They don't sell the IN4007's by themselves, but they have a 25 pack of assorted diodes that have 5 IN4007s for $3. so if you were running 8 contactors, you would need to buy 2 packs. It usually ends up being about the same price as buying online due to the shipping costs those places usually slap on.
