This is still a WIP. I'm never happy with my first try at things so I generally leave it sit for a while then pick it back up and play with it. But I figured since I've been dishing out the critiques I had better be able to take em. So bring it on!

On a side note, can anyone confirm that this version of the genesis used a red LED?

The looks are goodm the placement of the console/controller and TV might be ok but the background should be somewhat lighter in color imho because as is, I can harldly see the TV, Genesis and controller

For some reason, I really don't care for the screen bezels. So far any theme they have been used just don't look right.

I know what ya mean. The problem is that I don't really know how they should look, just kind of winging it until it looks kind of good. I could really use some help there.

After looking at this for a bit I think I see at least one of the problems with it. The lighting on the screen is coming from a different direction than the lighting on the controllers. A complete revamp of the screen is going to be my next step. Any suggestions?

Dazz, how does the screen reflection make you feel? Should I work on the revamping the whole display or just the bezel? I mean assuming that the reflection is coming from the right spot so that it doesn't feel out of place.

It's just that reflections and lighting can so easily look wrong, especially if you're like me and you don't completely understand the principles of lighting when it comes to reflections and stuff. The reflections themselves are their own layer so editing those will be no problem.

I have updated each of my default themes to incorporate the reflection but I have not uploaded them. I'm going to hold off until I'm completely happy with the bezel.
