MESS or RetroArch?

Hi, i have been following simply austins tutorials on youtube and things were running smooth until i got to the tutorial on installing MESS. I have followed him step by step but when i go to run a game through rocketlauncher i get about 20 seconds delay and then an error saying... 'There was an error waiting for the window "ahk_class MAME" to become active. Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem.'

Ive tried loads of things like using a more upto date version of MAME and MESS but still same problem, the confusing thing is simply austin provides the emulators so ive been using exact same program as him. Maybe its down to the module update thats causing a problem for my set up as his tutorials are a couple of months old.

Anyway is there any systems that MESS will run but Retroache wont run because im really giving up on this now :(

Thank you

Opps, im clearly a noob at this...i went browsing through the module and u have to direct the the module to the mess bios folder. U didnt need to do that on your tutorial did u austin? 2 days later and its something as simple as that :wallbash:  Im starting to think i should do the housework and put the girlfriend in front of the hyperspin setup :whistling:

You will also probably have to be careful with MESS as it is now part of MAME and I believe they are merging the modules for them as well so if you run standalone mess then the module will probably be looking for the wrong class.

Link? I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere yet
