Hyperspin starts. My intro video comes on. I hit a button and the wheel comes up. All normal. I go into mame I select a game and it loads. The problem is When I hit escape and I am back at the wheel. Now my controller won't work. The keyboard will but no buttons or stick Any ideas?

hai, are the with bluetooth?

or with usb cable?

with controllers do you use?

and can you check if youre joytokey is running on the background?

I figured it out. Something wasn't set right in rocket launcher

I was having same problems and the solution for me was to edit the rocketlauncher.ini file which is located in the settings folder.  In the ini file under Keymapper change to:

 

Keymapper_FrontEnd_Profile = JoytoKey

 

It was set to false as default which was causing me headaches and the UI on rocketlauncher wasn't updating it
